How PSN Supports Hospital Fundraising: Process Overview

Updated: Nov 11

PSN empowers hospitals to efficiently fundraise for patient care, cutting-edge treatments, and essential medical projects through both donations and investment opportunities. Here’s how the process works:

1. Patient and Project Fundraising Pages

  • Page Creation and Submission:

    • Donations: Hospitals can create GoFundMe pages for individual patients, groups of patients, or medical projects. Or they may let patients create them, and then submit the page links to PSN. If preferred, PSN can create and manage these pages on the hospital’s behalf.

    • Investments: For advanced projects—particularly those involving AI or high-tech treatments—hospitals can switch their fundraiser link to transition directly to investment-based platforms like StartEngine, enabling access to both donations and investments.

  • Our Role: If a hospital asks PSN to create the page, we assign a freelancer to set it up using our standardized templates. After review and approval, the page goes live.

  • Nonprofit Beneficiary: Each GoFundMe page lists the hospital’s nonprofit as the beneficiary, ensuring funds go directly to the hospital, which then manages disbursement for treatment and related costs.

2. Page Management and Monitoring

  • Ongoing Support: The freelancer who created the page also monitors it, updating information as needed and regularly reporting progress to PSN and the hospital.

  • Transparent Reporting: Hospitals can track funds raised via public pages. PSN also compiles regular reports on funds raised and applicable fees.

  • Fee Structure: Hospitals pay a service fee for page creation and monitoring, plus a percentage of donations raised, covering the ongoing support PSN provides.

3. Sponsored Campaigns

  • Ad Agency Collaboration: To secure corporate sponsorships, hospitals work with ad agencies. Hospitals post their sponsorship needs on the PSN Forum, allowing agencies to connect sponsors directly with hospitals via dedicated GoFundMe pages.

  • Transparent Fund Management: This approach creates a public record of sponsorships for transparency. Once sponsorships are received, hospitals pay ad agencies directly for campaign services.

  • Ad Campaign Traffic: Ad agencies create sponsor landing pages that feature sponsor products and hospital fundraisers, increasing visibility. Fundraisers for all projects, including AI-driven and high-tech initiatives, appear on the Fundraisers page. Premium subscription hospitals can highlight these fundraisers on the PSN homepage for even greater exposure.

4. Hospital Control

  • Campaign Management: Hospitals have full control over when to start or end their campaigns, allowing flexibility to meet evolving needs, especially for AI-driven or high-tech projects.

  • Patient Visibility: Patients can track fundraising progress on their GoFundMe pages, while the hospital oversees fund disbursement for treatment-related expenses.

  • Reporting and Transparency: Agencies provide regular campaign performance reports to both PSN and the hospital, ensuring transparency. Hospitals can choose to opt-out if dissatisfied with an agency’s performance.

Through PSN’s platform, hospitals can efficiently manage their fundraising and investment efforts, empowering them to provide patients with access to advanced medical care. By supporting projects in AI-driven medicine and offering options for both donations and investments, PSN is dedicated to helping hospitals advance healthcare innovation and improve patient outcomes. With transparent processes, ongoing support, and collaboration with corporate sponsors, we help hospitals raise the funds they need for life-saving treatments and critical projects. At PSN, we’re committed to advancing healthcare innovation, supporting hospitals in delivering life-saving care and fostering a healthier future for all.
